Study in Japan from Sri Lanka
Studying in Japan from Sri Lanka can be fully funded through the MEXT scholarship, with growing English-taught programmes and a clear path into the country's technology sector.
Japan attracts Sri Lankan students with the MEXT government scholarship, which covers tuition and a living allowance, and with world-ranked universities in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Robotics, engineering and materials science are particular strengths.
Most undergraduate courses expect JLPT N2 Japanese, though English-taught master's options are widening. The College Student visa follows a Certificate of Eligibility issued in Japan.
