Through our StudentsFromAsia programme, we also help students across Asia study abroad — with free university matching, scholarship guidance and student-visa support.
We operate at the intersection of acute skilled-trades shortages in our destination markets and a deep, underutilised global pool of internationally qualified construction, manufacturing, and industrial workers. Our model is built on a single conviction: labour migration, done correctly, is beneficial for workers, employers, and host economies alike — but only when workers are never asked to pay for the opportunity.

Construction, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, energy, hospitality, and infrastructure employers across our destination markets face structural skills deficits that domestic training pipelines cannot resolve quickly enough.
Meanwhile, skilled-worker markets worldwide produce hundreds of thousands of internationally experienced welders, electricians, plumbers, CNC operators, HVAC technicians, care staff, drivers and logistics workers — many underemployed or stuck in corridors with limited transparency.
The barrier is not supply. It is infrastructure: fragmented recruitment channels, opaque fee structures, manual visa coordination, and the persistent problem of worker-paid recruitment fees — which the ILO identifies as one of the most significant drivers of labour exploitation globally.

Non-Negotiable Standards
These commitments are not marketing copy. They are operationally enforced conditions of participation for every employer and for the platform itself.
No Hidden Recruitment Commissions
This is our most important commitment. In too many labour migration corridors, workers pay enormous commissions to recruiters — often taking on debt that traps them in exploitative contracts. WorkersFromAsia never charges hidden recruitment commissions: registration and applying are free, and any optional service is transparently priced upfront. Employers pay a one-time fee of 8% of the worker's annual salary, billed across the hiring, trial and 3-month milestones.
ILO Fair Recruitment Compliance
All recruitment activity on WorkersFromAsia is conducted in accordance with the International Labour Organization's General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment (ILO-GPOG). This includes informed consent, transparent contract terms, accessible grievance mechanisms, and prohibition of deceptive recruitment practices. Every employer must agree to and demonstrate compliance with these principles before onboarding.
GDPR-First Data Architecture
Candidate personal data is collected under explicit GDPR Article 6 consent, with data minimisation applied throughout. Employers see only the data necessary to make an employment decision. Biometric data is hashed and never stored in raw form. Candidates retain the right to data access, rectification, and erasure at any point.
Transparent, Simple Pricing
Our commercial model is straightforward: employers pay a one-time fee of 8% of the worker's gross annual salary — no upfront costs, no subscription, billed across three milestones (25% on hiring, 25% after the trial month, 50% after 3 months). Workers pay nothing, ever. All fees are published openly in our pricing documentation.

Legal Frameworks
Visa and Work Authorisation Pathways
WorkersFromAsia supports placements under multiple legal frameworks. The appropriate route depends on the destination country, the worker's qualifications, and the nature of the engagement. Our recruitment team is accredited to advise on and manage all of the following.
Employer-Sponsored Work Permits
Most international placements require an employer offer, a compliant labour contract, and a work authorisation issued by the destination country. WorkersFromAsia coordinates the document readiness and case workflow with the employer and candidate.
Residence, Identity and Labour Registration
Many destinations require medical checks, identity registration, residence permits, labour-card registration or local onboarding steps after offer acceptance. The platform tracks these milestones in the hiring pipeline.
Qualification and Licence Recognition
Regulated roles may require certificate translation, trade-licence checks, professional registration or skills assessment before deployment. We keep these requirements visible before the worker travels.
