Our Mission
Bridging Asia's Skilled Trades with Europe's Workforce Gap
WorkersFromAsia is an institutional B2B recruitment platform that connects verified, ILO-compliant skilled tradespeople from Asia with employers and projects across Europe — ethically, transparently, and at zero cost to workers.
We operate at the intersection of Europe's acute skilled trades shortage and Asia's deep, underutilised pool of internationally qualified construction, manufacturing, and industrial workers. Our model is built on a single conviction: labour migration, done correctly, is beneficial for workers, employers, and host economies alike — but only when workers are never asked to pay for the opportunity.
The Challenge
Europe Needs Skilled Workers. Asia Has Them. The Corridor Is Broken.
European construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors face a structural skills deficit that domestic training pipelines cannot resolve within the decade. Germany alone requires an estimated 400,000 additional skilled tradespeople by 2030. The Netherlands, Romania, Poland, and France face comparable shortfalls.
Meanwhile, the Philippines, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan collectively produce hundreds of thousands of internationally certified welders, electricians, plumbers, CNC operators, HVAC technicians, and other tradespeople annually — the majority underemployed or working in corridors with limited social protections.
The barrier is not supply. It is infrastructure: fragmented agency networks, opaque fee structures, manual visa coordination, and the persistent problem of worker-paid recruitment fees — which the ILO identifies as one of the most significant drivers of labour exploitation globally.
Our Answer
Employers post vacancies on a professional B2B platform. Verified agency partners source and pre-screen candidates. All parties operate under published, enforceable standards.
Over 1,056 unique recruitment corridors — every combination of 12 trade skills, 8 source countries, and 11 European destinations — are indexed and discoverable by employers searching for specific combinations.
A visual Kanban dashboard tracks every candidate from first screening to flight booking, replacing spreadsheets and email chains with structured, auditable workflow.
Our Principles
Non-Negotiable Standards
These commitments are not marketing copy. They are operationally enforced conditions of participation for every employer, agency, and the platform itself.
Workers Pay Zero — Forever
This is our most important commitment. In too many labour migration corridors, workers pay enormous fees to recruiters — often taking on debt that traps them in exploitative contracts. WorkersFromAsia charges workers nothing at any stage: not for registration, not for visa support, not for placement. All platform revenue comes from success fees paid by employers after a worker has commenced employment.
ILO Fair Recruitment Compliance
All recruitment activity on WorkersFromAsia is conducted in accordance with the International Labour Organization's General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment (ILO-GPOG). This includes informed consent, transparent contract terms, accessible grievance mechanisms, and prohibition of deceptive recruitment practices. Partner agencies must agree to and demonstrate compliance with these principles before onboarding.
GDPR-First Data Architecture
Candidate personal data is collected under explicit GDPR Article 6 consent, with data minimisation applied throughout. Employers see only the data necessary to make an employment decision. Biometric data is hashed and never stored in raw form. Candidates retain the right to data access, rectification, and erasure at any point.
Transparent Success Fees
Our commercial model is simple: employers pay nothing to post a job or access the candidate pool. A success fee — agreed in advance and clearly stated — is invoiced only when a candidate's flight booking is confirmed and employment in the destination country commences. Agencies receive a defined revenue share, published openly in our Agency Portal documentation.

Legal Frameworks
Visa and Work Authorisation Pathways
WorkersFromAsia supports placements under multiple legal frameworks. The appropriate route depends on the destination country, the worker's qualifications, and the nature of the engagement. Our partner agencies are accredited to advise on and manage all of the following.
EU Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
Germany's points-based pre-immigration system allows skilled workers from non-EU countries to enter Germany for up to one year to seek employment. WorkersFromAsia helps candidates assess eligibility and prepare the required evidence portfolio.
Skilled Worker Visa (§ 18a AufenthG)
For candidates with a recognised professional qualification, the German Skilled Worker Visa provides a direct pathway to employment. We coordinate recognition of trade qualifications (Anerkennung) through the relevant German authority.
Posted Workers Directive (96/71/EC)
For project-based placements across the EU, the Posted Workers framework allows employers to engage workers from non-EU countries through certified posting arrangements. Full compliance with the Enforcement Directive (2014/67/EU) is required and supported.
National Skilled Worker Routes
Each European destination country has its own skilled worker admission framework. WorkersFromAsia's partner agencies are accredited to handle applications for Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium, and all other destination countries on the platform.
Trade Coverage
Skilled Trade Categories on WorkersFromAsia
We focus exclusively on certified, verifiable skilled trades where European employer demand is acute and Asian supply is demonstrably strong. Generalist unskilled labour is not in scope.
